Since
1998 we have offered specialized workshops at a place of singular
beauty and tranquility, an 11th century monastery hidden in
the Montalcino countryside.Perched
on a hill surrounded by vineyards and cultivated fields there is
little to remind one of the modern world.The place is isolated not just physically but spiritually and
hence, ideal for painting.
The
accommodations consist of private rooms divided among four apartments.They are simple and very rustic.There are no private baths available but we have arranged that
each bathroom be cleaned on a daily basis. The overwhelming majority
of participants have been quite satisfied with these arrangements. For
participants requiring more up-scale, private facilities, and who are
willing to rent a car, limited opportunities exist for a supplemental
fee (see Schedules and Conditions).
