In Civita Castellana we will be based in an agritourism that was formerly a post station which became historically significant as the site of the surrender of the papal troops and final unification of Italy in 1870.
The accommodations will be very comfortable.  All rooms are located at ground level in apartment units of varying sizes, each with studio kitchen, and autonomous heating. Private bathrooms are available in most of the rooms. They are tastefully furnished, many with antiques, and have terra cotta floors and beamed ceilings.
The main property is located on the border of what appears as a residential neighborhood, and consists of an antique rose garden with swimming pool, olive grove, and fields under cultivation.  Not far away, there are an additional 600 acres of farmland that include ruins of a medieval fortress and a large pre-Roman habitation.
