In June of 2008 Maddine and Joe were commisioned by Emilia
Nardi to produce nine paintings for Tenute Silvio Nardi. The
paintings depict various properties of this large Brunello producer and
were intended to be hung in the sales and tasting room at their Casale del
Bosco in the countryside of Montalcino. These works in traditional
oil medium were created on
nine identical hardwood panels measuring 5.5 x 15 inches and were completed
over the course of the summer into autumn. We thought it appropriate
to put this group on this page as both artists worked on the
project. Maddine completed five of the land portraits and Joe added
